With its main Fallout TV series an absolute hit, with two seasons already under its belt, Amazon Prime is expanding its scope with another adaptation, this time of the management sim spin-off, Fallout Shelter.

In that game, which eventually came to PS4, you took up the role of Overseer in a vault and looked after your citizens. You'd give them food, homes, power, and generally the best life possible while expanding the vault with new rooms and functions.

Amazon has taken the name and turned it into a "competition" series for TV, as its social media post announced: "Good morning, future Vault Dwellers! Please Stand By for an important announcement. Fallout Shelter: The Experiment — an all-new competition series — arrives January 13, only on Prime Video."

Presumably, the TV series will have a selection of contestants at the start of the show, and they shall be whittled down through a series of challenges and tasks. With the Fallout branding backing it, maybe they will have to find and cook a Radroach, or survive an encounter with a Super Mutant.

Amazon has produced high-quality TV adaptations in the first two Fallout seasons, so I'm willing to give this a shot once it's out. It will, however, be a very different vibe. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
