Sony actually did show off a new look at next month's Ghost of Yotei expansion Echoes of Sekigahara earlier today, but you had to wait right until the very end of the State of Play Japan livestream to see it. I don't blame you if you turned the show off long before then.

Ghost of Yōtei Echoes of Sekigahara is a brand-new story expansion that delves into Atsu's past, along with her experiences during the Battle of Sekigahara. Explore a whole new area of Ezo, complete with new enemies and more. Diversify your fighting style with a new weapon type to master, alongside new armor types, new cosmetics and more.

This expansion is part of a paid upgrade to the Ghost of Yotei Complete Edition, which also includes a new roguelike mode named Most Wanted. As of the State of Play livestream, we now also know Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima will be playable again in that mode. Both the Most Wanted mode and this Echoes of Sekigahara DLC are out for PS5 on 1st October 2026.
