LumenTale: Memories of Trey will soon make the jump to PS5 after a fairly brief stint of Nintendo Switch exclusivity.
This is a turn-based, Pokémon-inspired RPG where you gather a team of cutesy creatures. It released on Switch and PC, via Steam, back in May — and it seems to have done pretty well for itself.
Critic reviews were a little lukewarm — our pals over at Nintendo Life gave it a 7/10 — but LumenTale is still generally regarded as one of the better monster-taming adventures on the market.

There's no mention of a full PS5 release date just yet, with developer Beehive and publisher Team17 stating that the game's simply "coming soon" to Sony's system.

This is good news, but monster taming is awesome when the actual monsters involved are awesome. I can't think of a single game that made monsters as unique as the first generation of Pokemon.
Nintendo right now: "looks like law-suits are back on the menu boys"
@naruball Yeah it's a consistent problem. I've always liked most Digimon designs but as far as straight Pokemon clones go, I haven't played one that's managed to capture the same magic.
Obviously nostalgia for the old Pokemon games plays a big part in that, but still.
