Years in the making, our first look at GTA 6 gameplay is available now... on Netflix. As the video is behind a subscription service's paywall, we cannot host it here on the site just yet. There's a six-hour exclusivity window, and the deep dive will be uploaded to YouTube later.
Here's when the GTA 6 Extended Look will be live on YouTube:
- North America: 6pm (Thu) PDT / 7pm (Thu) MDT / 8pm (Thu) CDT / 9pm (Thu) EDT
- UK/Ire: 2am BST
- Europe: 3am CEST / 4am EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 10am JST / 9am AWST / 11am AEST
Between now and then, we're going to be watching the Extended Look on Netflix multiple times over and bringing you all the new details and important stories Rockstar has to share. Please see below for lots of new things we've learned.
Here Are the New GTA 6 Screenshots
Interact with NPCs Red Dead Redemption 2 Style

When playing as Jason or Lucia, you can hold a trigger button and select from a few different prompts to activate some interactions with them. This is just like what was in Red Dead Redemption 2.
There's a Karma System

You can pet a dog to gain positive karma, as the Extended Look reveals. Then, later on in the video, Lucia gains negative karma as she's escaping a store heist.
Relax at Your House with Drinks and TV Adverts
During one scene, Jason is waiting for Lucia to get ready. To pass the time, he has a choice of what beer to grab from the fridge and then sits down to watch some TV, and some adverts take up the full screen.
You Can Get a Six Star Wanted Level

The sixth star on the Wanted level system is back! Absent from GTA 5, who knows what you'll face when you reach the sixth star.
Tons of Side Activities
As the Extended Look progresses, we get quick glimpses of the optional activities on offer for Jason and Lucia. There are full-on track races, jet skis, weight lifting, and scuba diving all shown off.
You Can Swap Characters Instantly
While Jason and Lucia are together, you’re able to switch control between them instantaneously. For example, you can drive a car as one, or swap to the other in the passenger seat.
When the characters are apart, you can still swap from one to the other, but it’ll take a few seconds, transitioning just like in GTA 5.
Some Areas Have a Lot of NPCs

There are some locations throughout the map that will have a very dense population of non-player characters going about their business. In the video, we see Jason weaving his way through an incredibly crowded night club.
Bullet Time

When needed, you’re able to activate a Dead Eye-style bullet time mode, slowing time down to a crawl. During this phase, you can target highlighted weak spots on enemies, such as their head, hands, or joints.
It Stuns on PS5

The look at GTA 6 ends by saying it was all captured on a PS5. It's not stated whether that's a base PS5 or PS5 Pro, but it looks incredible.
You Determine Jason and Lucia's Relationship

At the start of the game, Jason and Lucia want to be in a romantic relationship together. However, whether that actually happens or not is seemingly up to you. It appears there will be some decision-making throughout the campaign, and you need to make sure the two characters are spending time together to allow that love to blossom.
A Criminal Profile Is Built Around Your Illegal Actions

As you commit crimes during your playthrough, the game will build your Criminal Profile. This is mostly about your actions in free roam, where performing consistent actions will skew it in specific ways. Alternatively, you can also improve your Criminal Profile by throwing away your rubbish in dustbins.
Cops Don't Appear on the Minimap

Rockstar has done away with showing cops on the minimap; now, you have to use the Focus mechanic to see them. The minimap simply flashes and shows your waypoint marker. You'll know if the cops have an idea of your appearance and what car you're driving, but that's about it.
Evading the Police Will Be Tougher

In GTA 6, escaping the range of the police chasing you won’t be enough to get the heat off you. Small symbols beneath the Wanted star rating indicate they know your face, what clothes you’re wearing, if you’re armed, and so on.
This means the cops might spot you even if you’ve previously outrun them, so you’ll have to pack a change of clothes, maybe get a haircut, anything that’ll throw them off your scent.

If the purpose of a 30 minute commercial is to get you to buy a product you didn't previously want, it's worked.
Wow, looks awesome
Alright. Too many little details and a lot of activities for sure. Hope the story is good because it still felt like I would get bored of it before too long. I didn't like Lucia at all, it was the opposite after the reveal but now Jason felt like my guy. Also, 30 fps sucked! Hope at least 40 fps for Pro because otherwise I will have a hard time to convince myself. Overall, solid game but not over the moon for it. I am probably in the minority, also felt like another one of those 5-6 minute previews like previous games would excite me more; tihs felt too long.
I was hyped before and now I’m even more hyped. That looks amazing. Unbelievable levels of detail. Looking forward to the frame by frame analysis. Preorder already locked in. 84 days to go!
Feels very non-GTA while feeling completely GTA. Mad.
Graphics are insane.
Map looks massive with lots of life.
I’m pumped.
Looked incredible and very GTA. Visuals are insane. City looks huge and dense. I'm in love with Lucia 😍
The story stuff didn't wow me and I'm curious if there are those relationship mechanics that were rumored. But obviously it looks amazing and I'll be happy to buy it. Red Dead 2 will likely remain the GOAT
hang on... did it start to turn into Die Hard at the end?????? hype
I’ve never played a GTA game before but I think this may be my first. And, damn, Lucia is such a babe. No way I don’t play most of the regular switchable content not as her.
I was hella impressed with how the game looks and I'm not usually someone who cares about how a game looks.
Definitely looks good and has a ton of details packed in.
OK, that looked incredible
The red 80s Übermacht Sentinel convertible looks great. The missions look great. Dialogues are well written. Rest of the world a bit boring, basic GTA style.
I expected more.
WOAH! I can experience my girlfriend taking too f***ing long to get ready, but IN A VIDEO GAME!!!
Just imagine doing that WHILE my actual girlfriend is taking way too f***ing long to get ready.
I am thoroughly impressed. I seriously thought the opening segment, when it first started, was live action with actors then it slowly gave itself away that nope its just incredible graphics and lighting.
Gameplay looks seriously fun and chaotic and I loved how there was no commentary, it was just segment after segment revealing more and more features and systems in the game. I already had the ultimate edition pre ordered but after today I know without a shadow of a doubt that the game is going to be an absolute banger and all doubts about it have been struck down. Bring on November!
Impressive stuff, on a base PS5 as well.
Looks ***** amazing November can't get here quick enough now.
I saw the “study” prompt when petting the dog! The missions seem cool and I like the idea of not needing to drive if you are the character not driving.
Looks great but i have no interest unless its 60fps if its run like crap doesnt matter how good it looks no game should get a pass in 2026 for that
@Weebleman
I could tell it was PS5 at its last breath.
I'm not getting it. But damn does it look good!
This needs at least a 40fps mode. It looks amazoling, it moves like *****
Looks like everything I don't like about modern gaming.
Honestly the fact this was base PS5 and not Pro shows how R* is beyond anyone else in pure visuals. Will be exciting to see what the Pro version offers.
robs a store
gets bad karma
pets a dog
neutralizes the bad karma
All is good in the world
The level of detail in the world is insane. This is a massive step up from 5. Looks like you could just spend hours enjoying the world.
Can't wait to play.
And this is why I think it's on Netflix, not to sell it to normal gamers that would buy it anyway. It's too sell it to people that maybe are ex gamers. People that have never bought a console, but are impressed that this is the level in gaming now.
This is going to sell millions.
That looked incredible! Love the narrower roads and density of it all. The physics looks fantastic too.
Maybe I am the odd one here, but I was just not impressed. Not that anything was bad, not at all. But this was more of a "mood piece" than actual gameplay. Many almost odd cuts and maybe five minutes of total gameplay max and that barely uninterupted. Otherwise cut scenes.
Not bad at all, but I am not wowed from a game aspect. As a mood piece, this was great and it looks and sounds mostly really really good.
The game looks crazy good and believe millions will enjoying playing it too.
I have never played a GTA game before, and up until now I have been saying I'll be playing this or that whilst everyone else is playing GTA 6. Now, having watched the reveal on Netflix, I think I'll be playing this game as well.
If the idea was to convince those of us that were not interested in the game, to buy it, then they have well and truly succeeded in my case. Just wow...!
Pretty good trailer but damn, this extended look should not be on Netflix only.
Facking amazing! As always R*. Beautiful characters, women really modeled well. No more hundred guns in your pocket, immersion to the highest. Thanks YT streamers, Netflix don't try that again.
Not paying attention to the leaks and looking at this fresh totally paid off.
GTA VI is looking insane.
First 100/100 game on metacritic ever.
@Ashina it’s on YouTube in 6 hours time
Then graphics are 🔥🔥🔥🔥 my Mrs doesn’t believe it’s going to look like that 🤫
@Serialsid My GF games but purely on the Switch 2 as she prefers handheld. She's now saying she really wants to just free roam the game as Lucia when i'm not playing it. If she was living alone i think she might have caved for a PS5 for this going by her reaction to the gameplay.
Looks amazing the next step in gaming no doubt!
Jason's voice though I don't like sounds like a husky idiot😭
Lucia looks like my ex! 🤣😂
I wish!!!
It looks amazing but where's the over the top character's that's GTA's known for. The level of detail is amazing, I feel GTA going for a more realism towards the older GTA games. Really looking forward to it.
Rockstar needs to remake or remaster GTA4 with all the DLC also.
I won’t bore people with a lengthy explanation and analysis of what I thought from a developer standpoint.
Just know, what they’re doing on a PS5 from this generation is next to God tier astounding.
To get this in the last few years of a consoles lifecycle is such a beautiful swan song of a tech demo.
Anyway, after that, instant buy on what they’ve done being highly in need of encouragement and support.
I had a few developer mates around for some food and drinks for a little watch party event, it got a round of applause from us haha.
Rockstar is one to watch at the end of the PS6 generation, that’ll be for sure.
Astounding. Bravo. Chefs Kiss!
Would be nice to know about performance.
I’m not really a GTA guy, but this did look impressive. I always enjoy seeing how far we’ve progressed in creating realistic worlds and characters in games. Knowing how R* are masters in creating immersive and detailed worlds, it looks like theyre going to set another benchmark here again! 🔥
Saw enough after 10 mins to know the hype is real then turned it off to avoid spoiling November
@Dan12836666 to get them graphics running at 60fps you’re gonna need a hefty PC. I guess will get drip fed more info from here on out. I’d be happy if there was a 40 mode
Absolutely insane. Best lighting in an open world game (on a console) ever.
The missions were agreat surprise. Great cutscenes
It said ‘On PS5’ instead of ‘On PS5 Pro’ so I still have some hope.. beautiful game and looks amazing.. but really choppy.. still amazing how they fit all this in and it’s not 10fps lol so I’m definitely impressed.. just hope PSSR 2.0 can give it a bump 😎
@BloodyBlact think 30 fps but they’re still working on it. Hopefully at least 40 fps are possible.
R* cooked (was there any doubt)
@WolfyTn PSSR 2 will again do a good work here still hoping for at least 40 fps.
Also, I don't need to see any other second of it. This was enough to know what this game is
Very impressive. If I wasn't sold before I certainly am now.
@Reeneman id be 100% content with that.. also knowing that they’ll never stop updating this game.. at least not for another 20 years.. this was always gonna be a digital buy for me even before the no disc bs.. game is already timeless
@GamingGod ye definey i agree i understand why it wont run at 60 fps if it doesnt fair enough i just cant go back to playing games at 30 fps anymore personally but 40fps would be a great option for people it does look incredible though
Looks amazing! This will be an all timer for sure
Detail looks amazing but I’m not sold on the characters yet. They feel very boring to me.
Visually stunning, highly detailed but the actual gameplay aspects didn't look very impressive to me.
It looks great, detailed with lovely lighting. This looks like a sequel to GTA V! Character and vehicle movements, combat - all has the same GTA DNA.
@Greifchen Given the amount of reviewers these days and the folly of measuring subjectivity numerically, I feel very safe in assuming a 100/100 metascore is a logistical impossibility.
I don't think Ocarina of Time's 99/100 is actually achievable, either.
Lucia bout to open a bakery!
Great watch👀 - the hype for trying this game myself is mounting in my fragile calcium frame.
I guess we'll learn a lot more in the coming months and I assume we saw a basic console pull this off. I want to hear what the Pro can do with this🤤
@TheDarts We can see your comment history, seems like youre just a miserable person
@Stonecold730 A person of culture I see (I agree btw)
@helloim_anthony a personal attack just because I don't like a game. I'd rather be miserable than be like you.
Undoubtedly impressive from a visual standpoint. But to me, it seems more like a movie ou a series than an actual game. Still on the fence. We'll see.
Wouldn’t be surprised if this leads to a spike of returning players to GTA 5 in the coming days.
I preordered right after watching the footage. The story/main characters look interesting (that aspect of GTA5 didn’t work for me) and I always enjoy just messing around in GTAs
I’ll still be there probably day one but besides the jaw dropping graphics I’m thoroughly whelmed. It’s been thirteen years and at least a billion or more on development and this is barely any different from GTA 5 or their other games
Was I going to buy it for day one, yes.
Am I going to preorder much before early Nov, no.
Does GTA6 look incredible and a world I want to spend many hours in, absolutely! Bring on Nov 19th!
Well that definitely lived up to the hype in my book.
@dark_knightmare2 it’s GTA with some extensions. I’m sure they have some more details in petto for the next weeks.
Hope the story will hold up well.
Mmm, I'm not the only one that thinks these bullet points sound super boring, right? I haven't seen the trailer yet, and won't until YouTube, but I can't help but feel that a showcase that makes someone write, "There are some locations throughout the map that will have a very dense population of non-player characters" might actually...have been pretty boring.
The only thing here that interests me is the dynamic romance. But, at the same time, I was hoping for a linear, incredibly well-written central relationship. I have less faith in their ability to pull that off if no romance is an option. I also have no interest in going out of my way to maintain the relationship between two video game characters that I'm not personally f***ing.
...I dunno — I appreciate that everyone here seems to be flipping s***. I'll wait until I actually watch the thing to make a judgement.
@RoomWithaMoose mate it looks incredible honestly!!!!
Never had any interest in this game to begin with, but the visuals do look exceptional. I
For the sake of everyone hyped for this game, I hope it delivers for you.
Looks even better than I could have hoped for, amazing.
It could have been the Second Coming and certain people here would still be saying the same old negative stuff, so ***** them and await November 19th, along with many other millions!
@TheSingularity my hype is now in the next solar system mate 😁. Did I see RT reflections ? Pretty sure that was no ssr stuff
I read that 30 fps for even PS5 Pro is confirmed. Hope that's not the reality...
I thought it looked quite good but I wasn't bowled over by it. Then I turned on Cyberpunk 2077 and realised that driving around the city looks stunning, possibly even better in motion than GTA6. I might get this, undecided.
@Dan12836666 the reason it is 30fps is becuase of those graphics you cant have graphics that good and 60fps on a ps5 personally im the same i avoid 30fps like the plague but the sacrifice is more than worth it.
@Scottyy when it comes to the framerate I suppose it depends on how good the motion blur is implemented. Done right 30fps does look okay. FF16 in quality mode had incredible motion blur that really helps with the framerate. I’m with everyone else though I was desperate for a 60 but I honestly thought the motion blur on it looked spot on and really helped
@Theamazing1 i understand why if people are happy play it at 30 fps fair enough i wont be no game ever again personally see what happens maybe ps5 pro can get a 60 fps mode im hoping
With the amount of cake this game has, it’s no wonder it took 10 years to make.
@GamingGod
I was really really hoping for at least 40 for Pro since it is a great difference compared to 30. I am seriosly thinking not getting it. We will see.
A lot new information: https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLeaksAndRumours/comments/1w05hn6/a_lot_of_new_information_from_brazilian_youtube/
Edit: Looks like Pro fps is not confirmed yet.
Is it just me or is the RoboCop satire vibe gone?
Looks great. Can't wait to download it from PSN.
Easily the best looking console game ever and I'm not even sure it's close, some scenes actually looked real. I really hope they can work some magic and give at least a 40 FPS mode on the Pro. 50% better frame time would work wonders. But I'm hyped either way. They've risen the bar again
@Ashina Its only exclusive on Netflix for 6 hours... Chill man 😎✌️
@Theamazing1 I'm fairness you probably could on the Pro but it's the lighting they're using. It must be crippling the CPU
Still not interested in the slightest if its not 60fps.
If it's not, I will wait until its analysed on PS6.
