Dawnwalker PS5

Make sure to keep your PS5 save data for The Blood of Dawnwalker on your console's SSD (or uploaded to the PS Plus cloud); you'll want to transfer it to future instalments in the series.

Emulating what Mass Effect did with its own trilogy of games, it has been confirmed that a save data transfer option for the series Rebel Wolves is creating will be in place. Bandai Namco shared the exciting news after game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz spoke of the feature in an interview with Eurogamer.

Tomaszkiewicz talked up moving saves between games and the decisions a player has made. This had Bandai Namco, the publisher of the RPG, clarify simply: "There will be an option to carry the save from the first game."

Rebel Wolves has often talked up how it's creating a new series of titles, not just a single experience in The Blood of Dawnwalker — it's even gone so far as to publish a trailer teasing different time periods the franchise might be set in.

The developer teased last month: "Coen’s story will continue – spanning centuries and carrying him to various corners of the world, far beyond Vale Sangora. New adventures, new powers, new dilemmas. And dark, ancient secrets waiting to be uncovered."

Now we know it shall be worth keeping your PS5 save data around so the choices you make can carry over to the next entry; The Blood of Dawnwalker releases on 3rd September 2026, so it won't be too long until you're making the first set of them.

From the comments in Eurogamer's interview, it already sounds like a time period for the next game has been decided at an executive level, and wherever the series goes, it'll always star Coen as the protagonist. Does this excite you? Let us know in the comments below.
