With the title now available in a very short stint of early launch access, Digital Foundry has published its 007 First Light technical deep dive, focusing first on the base PS5 and PS5 Pro.
It sounds like, across the game's Performance and Quality Modes on the original system, 007 First Light is perfectly playable. However, if you're after a considerably enhanced experience, then you will want to be playing on a PS5 Pro.
Focusing first on the base PS5, the game runs at 60 frames-per-second in Performance Mode, and 30fps in Quality Mode. According to the outlet, though, the issues on the standard system stem from image quality: 007 First Light has an internal resolution of just 720p in Performance Mode and 1080p in Quality Mode.

"The game relies on FSR 3.1.5, which produces familiar image characteristics, including noticeable flickering in static shots and chunky, digital reconstruction artifacts when in motion," it explains. "This is especially evident with foliage, which can look rough during camera pans."
Our current PS5 Review in Progress is being conducted in Performance Mode on a base PS5, and reviewer Stephen picked up on some "fuzzy" graphics and "rare but noticeable frame rate drops".
