Developer FuturLab has announced that some DLC packs for the original PowerWash Simulator will soon be going away.
The first game, which was published by Square Enix, received two free expansions based on Final Fantasy and Tomb Raider; these DLCs are set to expire in just over a month's time, on 19th May 2026.
Until then, you're still able to claim them from the PS Store, but afterwards they will no longer be available to claim.
Once you have them downloaded, you can play them without worry.
"Players who have already downloaded the Tomb Raider and Midgar Special Packs will still be able to play them as normal moving forward," reads a statement from FuturLab. "For those that haven’t, this is your final chance to claim these Special Packs if you wish to spray down Seventh Heaven or clean Croft Manor."
The studio also says this coincides with the end of its relationship with Square Enix "who have been an incredible partner and have supported the publishing of PowerWash Simulator on PC and console," FuturLab says.
"Our team loved working on both of these beloved gaming IPs and we have been incredibly lucky to offer them until this point."
PowerWash Simulator has been a huge success for the studio, and it supported the game for a long time with a number of DLC packs — some original levels and others based on a wide range of IPs.
This trend looks set to continue in FuturLab's self-published PowerWash Simulator 2, which introduces its very first premium DLC this week, based on Adventure Time.

3 years is all we get these days? Crazy.
This was on Plus a while ago, right? I remember playing it for a bit, not sure what all the excitement was about, and deleted it.
I'd redeemed both DLC you mention here, but the store had another half dozen free DLC I hadn't redeemed, so I grabbed those just in case some day I decide to give it another shot. Maybe I should start with Tomb Raider Power Wash next time....
@RobN It's what I call a podcast game, just something to play while your mind is on something else.
I'm hoping FuturLab earn enough money from the Powerwash games that they might finally make the third Velocity game.
Great game and fun DLCs. I got them on PC though. Any difference in expiration between PS and PC?
@RobN I had no interest in this game but was reading an article where they got into the psychology of some video games and how the game was a good example of helping to combat stress. I have quite a bit of it in my life, so I decided to give it a try, and it really does help me relax and calm down. So, I think the game is more relaxing than anything.
The most surprising thing is these are the first DLCs to go, what with SE being the Publisher and all.

What if I'll delete it and need to download it again later?
Limited-time license deals like this might be forced to change soon, since the PEGI age ratings system is adding a new category for games which feature "FoMO" content (they used content that's only available for 1-2 years as an example here, but content that re-runs annually is fine, it applies to both purchased and free content), it can automatically raise the age rating to 16+, it can even be an automatic 18+ if the available duration is short.
While these new rules are obviously aimed at live service games, it feels like most of the games it targets already have a 16 or 18 age rating and the games such as powerWash simulator, where the content is not designed to be limited-time but ends up being anyway due to various reasons, are gonna get caught in the crossfire...
