We've been keeping an eye on People of Note for a while now, a turn-based RPG with a musical twist from Annapurna Interactive and Iridium Studios.
It's looking quite promising, and very different from most other RPGs on the horizon, in this new trailer:
As you can see, the video also reveals a release date for the game, which is now scheduled in for 7th April 2026 on PS5.

You play as Cadence, an aspiring singer who's on a quest to recruit fellow musicians and become a star.
The gameplay looks like it combines your typical turn-based RPG battles with rhythm minigames, all set to the game's original soundtrack.
Between fights, you'll be exploring the world of People of Note, talking with NPCs, and solving what look like environmental puzzles.
We reckon it's looking pretty good, but what about you? Will you be playing People of Note when it launches in April? Tell us in the comments section below.

Been keeping an eye out on this one. Videos I've watched seem good, so I am hoping the final product turns out well.
Looking forward to this one!
Somewhat cringe and it just sounded like stock gametrailer music. The performance parts just seemed like it added beat samples over the existing generic music. Hard to tell from the trailer though.
That screenshot is straight out of Fortnite, and I've not played that since 2019.
That's damning.
@SodaPop6548 Yeah, same — from the initial announcement trailer it looked right up my alley, a lot of cute/silly/breezy fun.
Probably some k-pop nonsense / woke nonsense . But I may be surprised
If nothing else I just appreciate this looks like it’s trying some new ideas.
I really liked the concept, but for a musical game that trailer didn't have great music
Looks good! Hoping for a demo.
