Koei Tecmo has confirmed that a new Dead or Alive game is in development for PS5. It'll be the first instalment since Dead or Alive 6 released for the PS4, all the way back in 2019.
You'll have to make do with the above teaser trailer for now, but at least we know it's real.
And speaking of Dead or Alive 6, it's actually being re-released on PS5 as Dead or Alive 6: Last Round.
It'll include all of 6's DLC characters and DLC costumes. There's no word on any sort of upgrade for existing owners of Dead or Alive 6, so we're guessing that it'll be classed as a new release.
There will, however, be a free-to-play version. More details on that are apparently coming soon.
Last Round is set to launch this summer, on the 25th June. You can get an early look at the complete package via the below trailer.

I'll be there for PSSR booba
That's the thumbnail they're going with, huh?
It's cool to see Dead or Alive 6 get an updated version with the DLC, I know the game has a trailer full of DLC content.
Also cool we're getting a new DoA game for the future.
@Oram77
Man, I just love them.
@RoomWithaMoose Any other screenshot I could get was a blur. Honest!
AHHHHH I can't wait! I did not see this coming!
DOA is back. I gotta say though, DOA6 was a big letdown, wasn’t horrible, but a letdown nonetheless. Hopefully this upgraded DOA6 will get things back on track.
Excellent choice of thumbnails xD
We are so back!
Fvck yeah! ✊️

I wonder if DoA 6 LR get rollback netcode.
I've enjoyed all the games, even 6 to an extent, so I'm looking forward to the new one. Hope the single player story stuff is handled better, though. I actually like the way Street Fighter 6 did things more than any others. A full RPG as well as an arcade mode with individual stories. Would be awesome if DoA tries that.
more fighting game Booba! can't ever have enough of that!!!
