Mina the Hollower has been a long time coming, but developer Yacht Club Games has finally provided an update — of sorts.
The game's launch has been narrowed down to Spring 2026, meaning it's now only a couple of months away.
Patient fans needn't wait that long, however, as a new playable demo is coming exclusively to PS5 tomorrow, 13th February 2026.
Available for a limited time, the demo is essentially the beginning of the game, letting you play through the first stage and concluding with the game's first boss fight.

Progress you make in the demo can be carried over to the full game when it launches soon.
Mina the Hollower is a throwback action game heavily inspired by Game Boy Color titles, hence its chunky pixelated look.
You play as a mouse who can burrow beneath the ground to navigate stages and get the jump on enemies.

I was praying for a shadow drop, but at least there is a hopeful release date soon, perhaps April. I’ve been dying to play this, aside from the demo.
Glad the game is getting closer to release. I backed the Kickstarter a long time ago and I'm happy it's really close.
It's something but this game needs to release. I'm not 'that' excited for it but it's good it's getting somewhere instead of being worked on too much longer.
An exclusive PlayStation demo confuses me. I'd reckon the main audience is on PC and Switch. Unless the recent demo those platforms had weren't on PS5...?
I dunno.
@RoomWithaMoose There was a PC demo in June 2025 and a Switch demo in August 2025. PS5 didn't get that demo.
@Grumblevolcano "Exclusive" is a tab misleading, in that case. Unless it's a different demo.
Based on the description, this sounds like the Switch and Steam demo just with carryover on progress. Personally, I played the demo on Switch and it was fantastic. I can’t wait for this one. Based on just the demo, I’d say it’s a GotY contender for my personal list
