We can’t believe no one’s made a shepherding sim before. This seems like such a no-brainer for a gameplay concept.
To be fair, it does look like there’s more to The Free Shepherd than simply rounding up sheep.
This debut trailer hints at a lingering mystery, but it’s one we won’t solve until 2027, when the title is scheduled to trot onto the PS5.
Here’s the game’s summary:
“Run fast and free as a sheepdog in a beautiful but troubled world. Herd masses of lost sheep to a secret refuge. Discover a mysterious calamity that only you can stop in The Free Shepherd.”

This seems like a game for me!
I love the look of this. Beautiful aesthetic. The last herding game I played other than the cow herding segments in Red Dead was probably Herdy Gerdy on the PS2!

This looks like a game I could enjoy on PS+
This reminded me a bit of the parts of Ghost Yotei where while on horseback you can gallop among hordes of wild horses. I need to see more but I’m very interested.
