Helldivers 2 has announced the next premium Warbond coming to the game, and it looks purpose-built for destroying bugs.
The Python Commandos Warbond is set to arrive on 2nd December 2025. Here's the trailer to give you an idea of what to expect:
Players can look forward to several new weapons and stratagems, including a minigun, a drone equipped with a flamethrower, a powerful chainsaw, and an assault rifle/grenade launcher combo.
As well as all that, the Warbond includes new cosmetics, with two new armour sets, capes, patterns, emotes, and so on.
It's bringing big 80s action movie energy, with the jungle feel bringing Predator to mind.

There's now around $170 of Premium Warbonds that are locking weapons, stratagems, grenades, and specializations behind a paywall. And after 60 hours I only got enough in-game currency for 1.5 of them. I paid good money for the game and it sucks that it's so expensive if I want to experience more of the post-launch support than just maps and enemies. I don't know why it isn't talked about more, but the monetization is a bummer.

@zhoont huh? Really? I already unlocked 11 warbonds without paying anything (170 hours total). Just going through all PoIs in each mission.
Interested in this warbond, need 400 more credits but it should be easy to get im a week, need to start stockpiling medals now.
OMG they haven't even fixed the performance issues yet players even said they would gladly wait for content in order for it to be fixed and again Arrowhead haven't listened at all.
I'm pretty much done with this game 200hrs on PS5 and about 250 on Steam I've had my fill, the performance on PC is shockingly bad and I've moved on

I’m glad the content drought is over. In my experience (I am gaming on a Pro though I crossplay with all sorts of randoms) the crashing was resolved weeks ago so I have been using the new content pause to play with some of the weirder weapons.
The mini gun and the assault rifle with grenade launcher under barrel look very useful but I think like the arc drone the fire drone will result in a lot of friendly fire deaths.
The chainsaw sword looks fun. I’m not a big melee guy but it’ll be nice to see people running around with the chainsaw rather than the one true flag.
The content in the warbond is cool but I haven't touched the game in a long while due to how shoddy the game's performance has gotten, and the fact that Arrowhead does nothing to mitigate the inflated file size on PC.
The mini gun has medium penetration (light penetration was a possibility since a lot of fully automatic weapons fall into that category) and like other guns with backpacks one ammo pickup will only partially refill it.
Based on chatter among randoms this morning between dives I expect it to be phenemonenally popular (among people who play Helldivers anyway 😋) once it hits.
Also the chainsaw sword sounds like it will be hands down the best melee weapon (aka the tallest midget). It starts off medium penetration but kind of like the dual sickle damage increases over time so it can eventually cut through even heavy armor.
