Sony has barely set foot in a consumer convention for years now, but it’s ending its exodus for the Tokyo Game Show. To be fair, it did also have a small presence at the Japanese event last year.
The show, which is set to get underway on 25th September at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, will see PlayStation bring with it a slew of playable titles, including:
- Battlefield 6
- Digimon Story: Time Stranger
- Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake
- Fishbowl
- Ghost of Yotei
- Lumines Arise
- Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls
- Meteora: A Challenge to Time and Space
- Nioh 3
- Onimusha: Way of the Sword
- Phantom Blade Zero
- Resident Evil Requiem
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds
- The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin

Of note, the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls demo will be an updated version with both Ghost Rider and Spider-Man playable. There will also be new stages on display for the very first time at the event.
There have been rumours of a new State of Play taking place next week, and we’d fully expect those new stages to debut during that broadcast. We’d also anticipate a few new characters to be announced.
Sony will also be running a stage show live from its booth right throughout the weekend, and you’ll be able to watch demonstrations of a variety of titles, including Resident Evil Requiem and Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
In addition, everyone who attends the booth will be able to grab some goodies, including a Ghost of Yotei mask, Marvel Tokon acrylic badges, Yoasobi stickers, and much more.
PlayStation will also be flogging some exclusive merch and licensed products, including some awesome Toro Inoue floppy disc-style key chains, Astro Bot tees, and even a Bloodborne sweater.
We’re lucky enough to be attending the show on its business days, so we’ll bring you full photography and a report next week.
