S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl releases for PS5 on 20th November 2025, a new set of PS Store pre-order listings has revealed. While developer GSC Game World does not appear to have said anything publicly on the new release date just yet, the hardcore FPS can be pre-ordered now on Sony's digital storefront.

There are three different editions to choose from:

  • Standard Edition (£49.99 / $59.99) — Base game only
  • Deluxe Edition (£64.99 / $79.99) — Base game, Deluxe Weapons & Suit Pack, Side Quest, Artbook, Soundtrack
  • Ultimate Edition (£94.99 / $109.99) — Base game, all contents of the Deluxe Edition, Season Pass

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is the unforgiving FPS survival adventure in a dark science-fiction open world. Scavenge for gear and resources, hunt for wonders, make hard decisions to survive and pave the path through the Chornobyl Anomalous Zone.

A physical version of the game will also be available, but it will require a download to start. Pre-orders for boxed copies are available worldwide now.

When the PS5 version launches, it'll also be packing every post-launch update from the original Xbox, PC launch, as well as a future engine upgrade. "Our main mission in the near future is upgrading the game to Unreal Engine 5.5.4. This will bring new features and tools to make the Zone an even better place, but more importantly — bringing the latest Unreal Engine 5 optimizations will lead to better stability and performance.
