If you're an iconic horror movie franchise, odds are you're getting a game. Lest we forget that even the cult film Killer Klowns from Outer Space made the jump.
The trend isn't over yet, it seems, as it's now the turn of Halloween.
Here's the reveal trailer:
Developed by IllFonic, the team behind Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds, and more, Halloween will feature both an asymmetric online multiplayer mode as well as a singleplayer experience.
The former is a 1v4 mode, where one person plays as Michael Myers while the others work together as Haddonfield civilians to put a stop to his murderous rampage.

Unfortunately, there aren't really any details about the singleplayer mode, but it's nice to have confirmation of a broader game than just the multiplayer.
Still early in development, it's heading to PS5 sometime in 2026. Got to be launching around Halloween, right? Are you excited for this one? Tell us in the comments section below.

Friday the 13th was a really cool concept but got old real fast, just like the Texas Chainsaw game (which was done by the same dev team)
How come we haven't gotten a Godzilla asymmetric multiplayer game?
How come there's no more Retrorealms games to fill up the collection ?

I wish they'd concentrate on single player only. This entire string of Dead By Deadlight clones is getting boring fast. I bet this will mainly be MP focused with the single player campaign a brief afterthought.

Even though this is supposed to have some sort of single player mode I definitely do not trust these devs, based on their previous work🧐
We need a Halloween III DLC for this with a level set in Santa Mira/ Silver Shamrock factory with the Silver Shamrock commercial theme playing in the background.

I have a feeling asymmetrical multiplayer is the star of the show here and the single player is some 4 hour experience that they made so they can say it has single player 🙁
Despite all the negative comments, I’m very excited for this.
Good that it has sp this time. Even if it' mediocre maybe they continue to improve that aspect as well.

I'm so tired of asymmetrical horror games. I'm not a big multiplayer fan, so it's not very appealing. I don't think the single player of this is going to be anything to write home about. Wish future titles would take note of the Hellraiser approach instead of carbon copying Dead by Daylight en masse.
