Fans of the all-time classic that is Journey — and visually stunning indie adventures in general — will have been waiting on a release date for Sword of the Sea.
And now, we know that it's gliding to PS5 on the 19th August. The title's new gameplay trailer is just about everything you'd expect; this is a clear spiritual successor to the aforementioned Journey. Incredible composer Austin Wintory is back to do the music, too.

Mad that this got announced 2 years ago, and we heard nothing. Still, looks like a really cool amalgamation of their previous games, happy it's releasing so soon.
This game looks amazing.
Journey was the first game I played on PS4 (I was late to the party) and I remember running into another player and ending up completing the whole game with them on my first play through and it felt so unique and magical.
I have loved all of their games since that time. And this game looks just as magical.
Also, it’s day one on PS Plus. Which is amazing.
Looks GORGEOUS wowowowowow
Liked it since the first trailer years ago! Looks beautiful. I love me some arthouse games. Day one on PS Plus, lets go!
Also, isn’t this an exclusive as well? Yet another one without any mention. Wonder why Sony doesn’t put more emphasis on it’s exclusives, kinda seems like a missed opportunity
Were the people behind Journey also involved in Abzu? Love both of those games and am definitely down for more beautiful artsy stuff.
I'll just say it, this game looks perfect.
Like, literally perfect.
