As a turn-based game, Honkai: Star Rail is always finding interesting ways to reinvent its combat system. This aspect of the HoYoverse outing is underrated, and while some modes are better than others, we really liked the Legend of the Galactic Baseballer from a few updates ago.
This mode was presented as a kind of in-universe RPG, where you’re collecting buffs throughout runs which both make you extraordinarily powerful and also enable you to explore different ways of deploying your characters.
And it’s making a dramatically expanded return in v3.3, with new enemies and fresh challenges. This is one of the big inclusions for the game’s upcoming update, which is set to release on 21st May. It’ll be flanked by a racing minigame as well.
Of course, the Trailblaze Mission in Amphoreus will continue with this update, and we sincerely hope it’s not as long-winded as recent patches. The update will see the Flame-Chase Journey come to a conclusion, as you take on the Sky Titan in a new boss battle. At the very least, this combat encounter looks extremely exciting.
The first phase of the update will be fronted by Remembrance healer Hyacine, who’ll be joined by the rerun of The Herta. Then in the second phase you can pull for Nihility newcomer Cipher, who’ll be accompanied by Aglaea’s rerun.
