Still set for release this year, Digimon Story Time Stranger has handed us our first real look at the game via an official recap of the series (which comes with optional English subtitles).

The video's just under 20 minutes long, but you'll want to skip ahead to the last 10 minutes or so for a glimpse at the upcoming title. The footage covers a bit of exploration and combat, while also showcasing a handful of playable Digimon.

Right off the bat, it's clear that Time Stranger is a big step forward from the Cyber Sleuth games. For starters, the environments look much more involved, as players traverse both the real world and the digital world. We even get to see a digimon-filled tavern.

Battle animations and character models have been given a real glow-up as well, resulting in what is probably the best-looking Digimon title to date.
