Upcoming PS5 RPG Azur Promilia is ticking all of the boxes required of a gacha gargantuan: it’s got well-endowed waifus, creature collecting, and even farming! There’s no release date in this new trailer, but it should help give you a taste of what to expect.

The main feature separating this title from other open world RPGs like Genshin Impact is the creature collecting, which is called Starlink here. Those are definitely not Pokéballs the characters are tossing, by the way!

As you’d expect from a new game coming out of China, the plot premise is absolutely riddled with nonsense about “constellations” and “companionship”.

Here’s the overview, which largely consists of a lot of words that amount to nothing of purpose at all: “Take a daring leap from the sky into the ocean, to once again encounter and bond with new life. Guided by shooting stars, amid the sparkling constellations, this is your very own journey. The entire universe eagerly anticipates the ballad of stars and odyssey, exclusively yours to unfold.”

But the game looks cute!

If you didn’t know, this is set in the same world as Azur Lane, the side-scrolling shmup featuring anthropomorphic warships inspired by anime waifus.

Hopefully we start getting more frequent updates on this one moving forwards.
