Wuthering Waves, the open world action game from Chinese studio Kuro, is one of the biggest games you can play on the PS5 these days – and it’s plotting a crossover with anime spin-off Cyberpunk: Edgerunners in 2026.
While the details are largely under wraps for the time being, this is being positioned as a major update for the game, so we’re going to assume playable versions of favourites like David Martinez and Lucyna ‘Lucy’ Kushinada will be joining the release’s roster.
It’ll be interesting to see how these characters are integrated into the storyline, as the big challenge for these gacha game crossovers is finding a way to meaningfully introduce protagonists from other universes into the overarching plot.

In other, loosely related Wuthering Waves news, v2.3 will launch tomorrow, 29th April, featuring new story content and events, as well as the long-anticipated addition of Zani as a pullable character.

Wake me up when 2026 drops~ 😌
That was one mashup that was not on my Bingo card.
Yet i'm all for it.
I'm more waiting for Lucy to arrive in Guilty Gear Strive.
Carlotta type moveset with a Fibre Wire would be insane!
Wuthering Waves already has "this is all happening in cyberspace" undertones. It shouldn't be too hard to integrate Cyber Punk characters.
