Ubisoft will lift the curtain on post-launch support for Assassin's Creed Shadows next week, the developer has confirmed.
The open world adventure released just over a month ago at the time of writing, and outside of one large title update that dropped a couple of weeks back, the team's been biding its time.
It's fair to assume, then, that big plans are in motion. We already know that multiple expansions are coming down the line β we might well glimpse the first of these in action next week β but it'll be interesting to see what kind of improvements are being worked on.
The beans will be spilled a week from now, on the 30th April.
What do you want from Assassin's Creed Shadows? Are there any specific additions or improvements you'd like to see? Keep your blade sheathed (for now) in the comments section below.

Is that a Unity side eject I see? π
Really hope it gets the Valhalla treatment.
Let's hope they properly fix the Limitless trophy this time.
Theyβve to let us disable that daft outline indicating stealth. The eye not enough?!
Heck yes! I just finished the main quest and I'm ready for more!
Also that tease at the end was actually pretty funny.π
I'd love some expanded Hideout building features. I've already maxed out my building capacity and the placement restrictions are pretty limiting (though you can kinda break open those limits to some extent through glitching).
@SystemAddict The outline indicates you are invisable in the shadows. If you are in stealth but not in shadows you dont get the outline.
Iβm still playing and enjoying the game, with around 50 hours under my belt. However, because of the way the game is structured I have no idea how far into it I am π
@SystemAddict wut π
@Titntin @SystemAddict
I get what you mean. It's is a visual annoyance in a beautiful game to have the glowing player character and also the glowing enemies, to an extent. An option to toggle off would be welcome.
I'm happy to see the development team excited to announce new content after all the S**T they went through getting this game out the door.
So Ubi announces a trailer for dlc a whole week in advance but Sucker Punch just drops the release date for Ghost of Yotei out of the blue? Weird. π€·ββοΈ I don't think I like either one. π
@Ravix Yeah, I do agree there should be a toggle in the options. I cant help thinking there should be a more elegant way of communicating 'you are invisable in shadow'..
@Titntin I find the shadow or bush that I'm hidden in to be enough of an indication as to whether I'm hidden in a shadow or bush without any extra visual overlays tbh, but it is what it is π a toggle off would make the game look so much nicer when in stealth, that's for sure.
@Ravix Wait till you see the Ready Brek mod that gives you an orange outline glow in 2 of the colder seasons.
Currently playing now the tea ceremony. The graphics in the garden when you talk to the 3 ladies. Pretty special on pro this is
Would like to see a harder mode than expert. Can stand on a rooftop in relative safety and snipe everything. Make soldiers climb up after you. Love the Vanish armor ability, that and poison bomb in the dead body. So much fun.
Was there always going to be a DLC "roadmap?" I thought I'd read elsewhere (maybe GR?) that, prior to Shadow's launch Ubi only planned to release one DLC mission. If they've pivoted from that and decided to release more content because the response to the game is so positive I think that's great.
Yeah, I'm an old guy with "adult responsibilities" now and don't have the time to play nearly as much as I did 25 years ago. But I still absolutely love "big" games where I can spend 50- 60 or more hours on single player content (if the content's good of course.) I never understood the "it's too big/too long" criticism Valhalla got. Now that AC and a few other franchises are being spun off into their own company, if management wants to let the developers create new content for months until they absolutely "have" to move on to support development of the next game in the franchise, I'd be very happy with that.
Ghost of Yotei release and done and one good expansion with free content
Now that the game has sold well it looks like they have lots of dlc in the pipeline. I am looking forward to seeing what they are working on.
Very excited to hear about it. This is my game of the year so far, absolutely loving it.
