Rebellion's brand new third-person shooter, Sniper Elite: Resistance, has left its mark on the UK's physical games chart with a debut at number one.
The PS5 and PS4 versions commanded a roughly 80 per cent share of the copies sold at retail. It's an impressive result for the game, pushing down mainstays like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (now third place).
Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto V is the highest it's been in weeks at number six.
That's actually it in terms of PlayStation games in the top 10; the rest are Nintendo-published games and the Switch version of Minecraft. Sitting just outside the top 10 are the likes of EA Sports FC 25, Sonic X Shadow Generations, Hogwarts Legacy, and Astro Bot.
Here's the latest top 10 in full (physical sales only).
UK Sales Charts: Week Ending 1st February, 2025

- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
- Super Mario Party Jamboree
- Minecraft (Switch)
- Grand Theft Auto V

Another reason it’s 80 percent on PlayStation is that it’s on GamePass so probably made a big dent on Xbox sales.
I know it's been a quiet month, but No.1 is No.1. I really didn't expect it to do that well. Just goes to show how important a strategic release date is. Congrats to Rebellion!
Well done Rebellion, love the series, now looking forward to Atomfall 👍
It's a great game and I enjoyed it but there was nothing else to buy in January anyway.
