Over two years after its original PS4 release, developer Hidden Fields has announced the PS5 version of Mundaun is finally available now by way of Annapurna Interactive. There's a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade on offer for current owners, and this new current-gen version runs at 60 frames-per-second with a 4K resolution. Check it out in the trailer above.
In addition to native support on PS5, additional bug fixes have been made and new languages are now in the game. The PS Store should update shortly with the PS5 version, allowing you to upgrade or buy the title for $19.99.
We reviewed the PS4 version of Mundaun, and praised its plot, tense atmosphere, and great visuals. However, we were disappointed by the general puzzle-solving gameplay loop and lacklustre combat. "With its hand-drawn, off-kilter visuals, Mundaun turns even the most benign objects into something sinister. The act of actually playing it may not be a pleasure, but looking at it most certainly is. When the soundtrack crescendos and the hair-raising atmosphere takes hold, there's nothing quite like the menaces of Mundaun."
