Meanwhile Xbox have that Barbie console which I would rip somebody limb from limb to get. Decals are the cheaper option to be fair.

So we get this but no Demon Souls, Rachet and Clank, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War covers, Horizon, Returnal or a classic PS1 grey. No we get this godawful eyesore.

@TheCollector316 I am an NBA fan, and I'm not interested, either. This feels like a very narrow interest group, but it's probably more about the cross-promotion opportunities than it is about hoping to make a lot of sales.

@RobN that's what I figure. cross-promotion and make them limited to sell to spec buyers. otherwise almost no one wants this.

Hard pass. Not a fan of LeBron or his bad designs. Would rather have something PlayStation related if at all.

I hope this doesn't sell well so Sony understands that this isn't what we want as gamers and to refocus their attention to their popular brands/games instead.

Hard pass for me. But if they did classic PSone themes i would buy all that day one. If it didn’t sell out before i even got the chance. PS needs better customization, special consoles. More plates covers, all tho i do love my Digital all black Sony Plates. I would like for them to get rid of the PS3 avatars and make new ones for PS5. Just seems like they have room for creative improvements, this does very little for most of us.

There must be some great artists out there willing to do proper custom art work on these plates. Anyone got any UK links/suggestions ? Sony really missing a trick here I think.

I don't care about basketball but that is the coolest special edition PS5 controller I seen so far, and honestly, it does not have a single direct visual mention of basketball in it. I guess you would have to be familiar with LeBron James's basketball world branding to find the correlations.

@Tharsman I think it does have a basketball on the bottom but yeah other than that, all of the crowns would be lost on those unfamiliar with King James.
