There’s a good chance you’ve never heard of Airu de Puzzle, because the PSP exclusive only released in Japan over a decade ago. The game is, for all intents and purposes, a reskin of Puzzle Fighter – albeit with Monster Hunter’s mascot Felyne characters instead of chibi versions of Ryu and Ken. And it could be coming out worldwide, assuming a trademark discovered by Gematsu is accurate.

The website notes that Capcom has registered the name Monster Hunter Puzzles: Felyne Isles in North America, Europe, and several other territories, which it speculates is likely to be a translation of Airu de Puzzle. This is expected to be some kind of remaster or re-release, as we don’t think Capcom would go to the trouble of translating the title for, say, an emulated version on PS Plus Premium.

Of course, there are a lot of assumptions being made here, and it’s possible the release may not even be targeting consoles at all – it would be a pretty good fit for mobile as well, for example. If you enjoy Puzzle Fighter’s gameplay, however, you’ll definitely like this. We’ve attached a Japanese trailer for the PSP version above to give you a better idea of what to expect.
