While Sony said Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered would be available as a standalone product "later this month", it's actually out just over 24 hours later. The PS Store has the game up for purchase at the previously confirmed price of £49.99/$49.99 right now.
The PS5 remaster hands the web-slinger a 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second, and then bundles in The City That Never Sleeps DLC trio on top. With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on its way later this year, it's the perfect way to get yourself set up for the sequel, or revisit the story of Peter Parker and MJ in the world of Insomniac Games all over again on PS5. Then, if you need even more from the Spider-verse, a free comic book prequel is being released this weekend.
And just a reminder: PS4 owners can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10. However, this offer doesn't extend to those who have played the game via PS Plus. Already played it on ps4. It's fine this way. I eagerly await part 2.
Wow. Nice surprise just bought it,never played the dlc so it be a nice refresher before part 2 comes out.

Uhhh, A Miles Morales sale would get you this price or cheaper.
Just had mine upgraded for $10 (better than nothing I guess). Good thing I still have my PS4 copy. Time to replay this in preparation for Spider-Man 2
@Dman10 Lol! I guess the included DLC sweetens the deal a bit but yeh £50 for a 5 yr old game with a fresh cost of paint is steep. I guess it worked for Last of us Part 1 so why not keep milking us for that sweet sweet cash

I'll be forced to play with the inferior looking Peter (in my opinion) in Spider Man 2 anyway, so I'd rather stay on PS4 Version with the first game

haha I agree it's definitely worth it. But unfortunately I don't have time for that anymore. I'm very happy if I can play a game these days.
As much as I’m sure it’s a good game and all, this kind of thing is not for me. I can’t see anything appealing about the gameplay.

That's my install from new years eve 2020 anyway, I doubt it got a patch.
