Elder Scrolls Online's Expansion, Necrom, Gets Epic CGI Trailer

Massively popular MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online is getting its next significant expansion in the form of Necrom, with the announcement accompanied by a suitably epic CGI trailer full of swords and sorcery.

Introducing the new Arcanist class, multiple zones to explore, additional companions to choose from, and the next chapter in a cosmic story concerned with Daedric demons and the fate of the world itself, Necrom will provide the framework for all-new adventures.

I'm guessing Naryu of the Morag Tong will be making another appearance? But will Veya be back?
It's always a good game just to drop into from time to time - even if you're just wandering about collecting resources and finding treasure chests - so my warden will be making a return.

Point of interest - it says 'Bethesda Softworks' on the trailer but doesn't mention them on the game any more (just ZOS when it loads up)

Kinda disappointed to see that the new area is set in Morrowind, but ah well. I’ll still be getting it.

@sanderson72 That's funny about the BSw logo in the trailer. That has to be an error. BSw is Todd's studio, and other than creating the original TES world and lore, they never touched Online. Did any of the title screens ever credit BSw? It's a blur because they all have the same font with red square logo.

@NEStalgia Yes, when ESO started up, it was Bethesda logo, followed by ZOS animated logo but now it's just straight to ZOS.
Perhaps they separated out as this is still supporting non-MS platforms?

@sanderson72 Nah, I don't think it has anything to do with MS/non-MS support. Zeni games still don't have the XGS logo anywhere on them even on XB, they still act as a stand-alone publisher (confirmed with Hi-Fi Rush, only Bethesda (not BSw, just Bethesda the publisher) logos, no Xbox Studio logos branding even on an XB exclusive.)

It's been a weird trajectory for ESO though. Zenimax was the parent company, ZOS was a subsidiary for the MMOs, Bethesda was a subsidiary for publishing, and BSw was a subsidiary of Bethesda as a studio.

BSw created the world and lore of TES, but never had any involvement in ESO, that was totally ZOS, and separate from technically BSw AND Bethesda the publisher, being directly under the Zenimax parent umbrella. I forgot it ever had the BSw logo, but it's kind of weird it ever did with the organizational hierarchy (pre-MS). I'm guessing it was a nod to the lore and universe being BSw's creation. I'm not sure what the story is with the changed logo screens. It probably does have something to do with organizational structure under MS, but probably more for a bookkeeping reason than a branding reason.
