There are tons and tons of little Easter eggs in God of War Ragnarokpay close attention to the poems you find, for example – but this nod to PS3 mascot mash-up PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is fairly easy to overlook. While out exploring, Mimir asks Kratos about an “unusual” tournament he once participated in.

“I heard you did battle with beasts, scoundrels, princesses, the undead, automatons, and history’s greatest musician,” he says, referencing the likes of Sly Cooper, Sweet Tooth, Fat Princess, Sir Daniel Fortesque, Raiden, and PaRappa the Rapper. “That’s not… that’s not true, is it?” Kratos simply retorts: “I would not speak of this.”

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has gone down in infamy for its attempt at aping the Super Smash Bros formula. While it lacked the polish and recognisable character roster from Nintendo’s series, many fans would like to see Sony have another crack at the concept – especially with alternatives like MultiVersus proving extremely popular in recent years.
