With a questionable song choice in hand, Striking Distance Studios has put out a launch trailer for The Callisto Protocol that could be the single biggest drop of new, cinematic footage we've gotten from the horror game for a long time. With a 2nd December 2022 release date on PS5, PS4 locked and loaded, there are a lot of new scenes, action sequences, story beats, and characters to be introduced to throughout the two-minute slice of footage. Check it out above.

"Set on Jupiter’s dead moon Callisto in the year 2320, The Callisto Protocol casts players as Jacob Lee - an inmate in Black Iron Prison," the elevator pitch reads. "When a mysterious outbreak throws the moon into chaos, Jacob must face his darkest fears to defeat the bloodthirsty creatures that stalk him as he unravels the dark mysteries at the heart of the powerful United Jupiter Company."

Launching on the same day as Marvel's Midnight Suns and Need for Speed Unbound, the survival horror title is shaping up to be a fantastic way to cap off the year. However, with Dead Space and Resident Evil 4 to follow in the early months of 2023, fans of the genre have so much to look forward to.
