Incredibly gory "Zeldavania" game Infernax is getting a Halloween-themed update today, introducing a new playable character called The Stranger, who we get to see in shotgun-blasting action in a new trailer.

We've certainly seen plenty of sidescrolling action games in this style in recent years, with excellent entries like The Messenger and Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon bubbling up to be the cream of the crop. Infernax deserves its place alongside such exalted company, which was basically guaranteed by its excellent first showing.
