Atlas Fallen is the next game from The Surge developer Deck 13 Interactive. Announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live, it's planned for release on PS5 next year; get a first look at it in the trailer above.
The game can be played alone or with a friend, and you'll hunt creatures, create custom weapons, and use custom abilities and skills. "Glide the sands of a timeless land, filled with ancient dangers, mysteries and fragments of the past. Hunt legendary monsters, using powerful, shape-shifting weapons and devastating sand-powered abilities in spectacular, super-powered combat."
That one caught my atention!! Looks promising!!
Awesome… I actually really rate The Surge and the sequel was supposedly even better (I’ll get to it at some point). Keen to play whatever these guys produce next!
I'm surprised they didn't announce a third game called The Fallen have Fallen.
I was hoping for The The Surge, but I'll settle for this.
Interesting. 2023 shaping up to be huge
I'm pretty sure i already have this..monster hunter 🤣
So… Monster Hunter? 👆🏼
Really enjoyed The Surge and I loved The Surge 2, its one of my favourite ‘souls likes’. Disappointed they didn’t stick with that formula, this looks like garbage to me.
@Fenbops Same here, really enjoyed both Surges. Kinda hard to tell what this one will be like, but it seems more like a typical action game.
Surge 2 was a really good game. I'm excited to see more of this one.
Every game they make gets better with Surge 2 being brilliant. Hope the trend continues
These guys have gotten better with every game so looking forward to seeing how this comes out.
Hmm so their take on Monster Hunter? Like how The Surge series was Dark Souls but in the near future*.
I'll have to wait for reviews/gameplay, but definitely interested.
Another MH like is fine with me
@KidBoruto Uh, Surge wasn't in space... lol
Everything looks great when its a prerendered intro. Game will look nothing like this to play I'm sure.
@ImAPirateSoSueMe Whoops my bad, thanks for the correction! I fixed my comment.
Are there any Dark Souls-like games that take place in outer space?
@KidBoruto Hellpoint & Dolmen. Do yourself a favor though and don’t bother with Dolmen, unless you want an easy platinum trophy.
@ImAPirateSoSueMe Thanks! I'll prob check out Dolmen first, I prefer the easier Souls games.
@KidBoruto it’s an easy platinum, but a terrible game. If you do, good luck.
