If it feels like Temtem has been around for ages, that's probably because it has. And all that time, the creature-catching title has technically been in early access. The game will finally hit version 1.0 on the 6th September, so potential tamers don't have long to wait at all.
Of course, you can already buy Temtem on PS5 (it launched back in 2020), but the big 1.0 update brings loads of improvements and a whole new island to the experience. The above trailer breaks everything down, covering new activities, battles, and seasonal events.

So anyone still excited for this with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet around the corner
I haven't played Pokemon since I was a kid on GameBoy, but from what I've heard this game is so beyond the quality of current Pokemon games. For that, I'm excited to dive into something that seems to be pushing the genre further.
@Happymoogle So I'm a huge Pokemon fan but I was heavily dissapointed by SwSh so I tried out Temtem when it was in beta and tbh it was really boring. The music wasn't anything special, the Temtem designs were meh for the most part, way to many battles (it felt like there's a new trainer every 5 meters) etc
The only thing I appreciated was the lack of RNG like accuracy, confusion, paralysis and all that stuff that is in Pokemon
TemTem is very good. It is better co-op honestly because it can be pretty grindy but the core experience is a really good one. this update can only make it better
I don't get why there isn't PS4 and xbox One versions. There's a Switch version.
I might re download it. I hate that they won't add new mons

I'm haven't been excited for a pokemon since Diamond and Pearl. Much much less after sword and shield. Hopefully the pokedex is finished on release.
Yeah the new Pokemon games are out very soon after, this really should launched a couple of months sooner.
@zhoont Nah it isn't at the same quality of PM and its creatures designs are pretty bland next to PM. It does online better i guess but PM is still king of this type of game and now that PM is going fully open world RPG with Gen 9 then TT is now the dated game.

How is this game in singleplayer? Is it fun? Good trophies?
I backed Temtem on Kickstarter in 2018 and became incredibly disillusioned with their inability to deliver in a timely manner. I don’t intend to partake at this point but I don’t regret backing. It feels great to see a small team bring their passion project to fruition and I’m glad my pledge (among the many others) was able to help them do that. I wish them the best.
@Happymoogle Not everyone can afford to own both a PlayStation and a Switch.
I own both, but that's because I work a full time job.
