Street Fighter is a series that's changed forms many times over the years, and Capcom's never been afraid to try new things. Street Fighter 6 is clearly no exception, with its full reveal trailer showing a distinctly new art style, alongside an entirely new single-player story mode. It's even got what appears to be a fully 3D player hub where you can organise brawls online.
Street Fighter 6 is aiming for a 2023 release date, and we'll no doubt see more of the title at this year's Evo, which is happening in early August.

The “I AIN’T NEVER BACKING DOWN” has been permanently instilled into my brain and I couldn’t be happier.
Looks fantastic. I wish they made a street fighter beat em up style game too.
They nailed the art direction: I feared they would try to make it “realistic” after the teaser. We already get to see some new characters and they perfectly fit in the SF aesthetic. The logo is still an eyesore! And a hub? Wasn’t really expecting that one!

So this does have an actual single player then…that’s a story mode? To me it looked like it was going to be some live service thing.

I liked what I saw. Interesting that it takes place in Metro City. Want to see more.

Even though i'm really looking forward to this I can't wait to see what netherealm has in store also. I'm glad capcom followed their lead and did a single player campaign. Internet connections and match making aren't at a point where they can carry fighting games fully imo.
I'm curious if this is PlayStation and PC exclusive like Street Fighter V?
Edit: Nevermind. I saw the State of Play trailer that only mentions PlayStation platforms, but other trailers show Xbox and PC.
@TheCollector316 well the trailer says it’s coming to Xbox as well…so wouldn’t have thought so.
The animations look so fluid! Genuinely impressed here with what they’re doing.
I hope to see a arcade mode with endings for characters look great but with this release ill way a few months i burned myself the last time.

Doh! I sure missed that. I was fooled by the way Push Square only mentions PlayStation platforms (and I just assumed PC). I was also fooled by the State of Play trailer only showing PlayStation platforms.

To say I'm hyped is an understatement!! Game is looking freaking awesome! My most anticipated title of next year!

I was not expecting an open world single player legit story campaign!
I'll pick it up in a few years when the inevitable Ultra/Super editions are out and on sale for dirt cheap.
Season passes put me off knowing SFV had 5 years worth of the stuff.
And im one of the few that actually praised the how SFV handled it! Playing from launch I earnt enought ingame FM to buy all the extra characters without forking a penny (though I was gifted the forst years pass)
And thats generally casually playing a few matches a week (out side of new character launches)
Ive gone from did hard fighting game fan (for 25 years) that goes through all the lengths to import as much as I can (slap happy rhythm busters anyone? Rumble Fish?)
To somone that doesnt even pick up the big hitters at launch.
No Guilty Gear strive, KOF or melty blood for me....heck Im still waiting for a MvC Infinite complete edition!
After SFV debacle with overwhelming number of too long loadings I'm very skeptical about another Street Fighters...
Anyone recommend a good fight stick for PS5, I still have my Hori Pro fight stick and Madcatz SF edition from the PS4 but fancy a new one?
@Mostik if they work fine, why get a new one? I’ll still be using my TE2+ (there aren’t many that have a better PCB after all).
@Worlock_ed Great point mate, I moved house a couple of years ago and left my sticks boxed up so hadn't tried them on the PS5 hence not knowing if they worked OK, I guess from your comment they will work fine and I can save a few quid - thank you 👍
Interesting…. On a side request: I think every street fighter game should include street fighter 2 turbo in the main menu, because street fighter 2 turbo needs no sequels, it’s Capcom that needs them👍🏻
SF6 looks amazing. Just give me more characters at launch then SFV and give me Juri and I'll be a happy gamer lol.
I like the look of this. The single-player mode looks kinda so-so but I reserve judgement until I try it for myself.
I don't understand the hate I seen from people (not anyone here specifically, just in general) towards the character designs, especially Chun-Li. Not only does she look very good imo but her facial features are a HUGE improvment compared to SF4 and 5.
Speaking of Chun-Li, was that her adopted daughter Li-Fen back there? I hope so because thats a good hint that SF6 really does take place after SF3.
As for Ryu, Luke and the new guy, like with the first trailer the first two looks pretty much as I expected, just fine, its all good. Jamie looks quite interesting, can't wait to try him out.
I have more to say but I'm tired from all the excitement so it have to wait. Looking forward to the game.

Not into the art direction this series took at all, definitely one for the yoof on the other hand can you imagine if Mortal Kombat acquired a full roster of legendary holly wood tough guys and just went that route?! ..ohhh my goodness 🤤 c’mere.
@kpenders it would’ve been stupid if it was exclusive tbh . SF6 needs to be multiplat with universal cross play so it can put SFV in the grave .

Just had a look again and it doesn't look like it supports PS5 out of the box, needs a firmware update and either a Magic-S Pro adapter with a firmware update or a specific third party PS4 controller (list and details on the Mayflash website)
Kool mate, I like it. I haven't tried one of those I favoured my Hori Pro stick over the Madcatz but if I can't get that one going I might give this one a look, cheers bud 👍
