Is anyone still playing Godfall? The Gearbox developed PlayStation console exclusive has just received a significant update that, amongst a load of fixes and quality of life improvements, adds Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support to the PS5 version of the game.
There is also a fix for a nasty bug that has been affecting PS4 owners of the Ultimate Edition, who were unable to access the bonus cosmetic items they paid for.
Godfall is a game that sadly turned out to be pretty average, which is a shame, considering it looked pretty good pre-release.
Drawing gameplay inspiration from the Monster Hunter franchise, and with its world and lore taking their queues from the likes of Joe Abercrombie, Brandon Sanderson and Isaac Asimov, Godfall had so much potential, but it just never came together.
Then there was that weird Challenger Edition that came to PS Plus back in December that threw players right into the endgame. Still not entirely sure what that was about, actually.

Every time a headline mentions VRR I think it’s about VR for a second, then get sad that it isn’t.
The game is not like MH at all, who would compare them? Anyway i actually like the game and last major update really improved well everything, sure its nothing special but its a ton of fun.
Do y'all really not know the difference between a developer and a publisher?
I like this game and i still play it every now and then..nothing like monster hunter at all (have you played it?) And pretty average? Again have you played it recently as its a hell of a lot better and a lot better balanced..and i cant see any isaac asimov influences anywhere..wtf?
I enjoy this game but oh boy do I regret paying full price. If you buy it as a new player, don't spend more than 20 bucks. It's a fun hack and slash to numb out to, little more.
I still haven't bought this game yet, waiting for it to inevitably land on PS Plus...

@AFCC Not the full game! I'm waiting for the full game to be on PS Plus. What they offered on PS Plus was a limited version.

@AFCC I can wait, very patient and have a combined PS4/PS5 backlog in the hundreds.
