Action RPG Steelrising now has a confirmed release date on PlayStation 5 — although technically, it's also been delayed. The Spiders-developed title was previously aiming for June, but it's been pushed back a bit to the 8th September. Certainly not a significant delay, but it does mean that the already dry June-July release schedule just got even drier.
Oh, and in case you missed it, Steelrising got some raw gameplay footage earlier this week. The game continues to intrigue, but as with any combat-heavy excursion, the proof will be in the pudding.

The art design is fantastic, the game looks good, but these souls-like games live and die with how their gameplay feels.
Looking forward to it. Glad they get more time so Spiders can release a game with their usual immaculate quality without any jank.
Definitely a good plan. This game looks like a winner, but clearly needs a little more time for polish.

Im a little disappointed they are moving away from the classic bioware like game with good companion systems. But i still really like Spiders and will check out nonetheless

Besides that, there is one wallet here quietly sobbing in the background with how many games are scheduled for the last part of the year.
To my fellow Greedfall fans, I'm happy to say that Spiders is working on a new RPG that will have companions, romance options, etc. Basically, everything we had before.
Steelrising is something new they wanted to try, and they're not abandoning their roots.
No big deal, still working on Elden Ring and might still be working on it into July at this rate.

I really loved Greedfall, an RPG right out of 2005 both in a good and bad (mostly good) way, so I'm excited for this. The weirdness (Steampunk?) makes me a bit hesitant, though. I'd have preferred the protagonist being a normal person, rather than a weird robot.
The French thing is weird but fine. What bugs me is the Pinocchio type mouth lines which is just creepy AF. Looks like DS on acid.
This looks like the kind of game I'll pick up when it's on sale.
Please let there be a demo soon, so I know if I'll enjoy this.
