RGG Studio

Yakuza and Judgment developer RGG Studio is apparently hard at work on "a lot of unannounced titles", alongside the previously confirmed Yakuza 8. Back in November last year, the Japanese company said it was planning games that have nothing to do with the aforementioned Yakuza or Judgment properties, which makes things very interesting indeed.

It might not even be that long until we get some concrete details — but we would assume that RGG Studio will want to wheel Yakuza 8 out first, probably in the coming months. And if you haven't already heard, it's going to be a sequel to Yakuza: Like a Dragon, taking place several years after Ichiban's initial adventure. We can't wait to see what's in store.

It's also worth noting that RGG Studio appears to be more open about its operations since its recent restructure. Yakuza creator Toshihiro Nagoshi and producer Daisuke Sato departed the developer in 2021, which led to a big reshuffle of key staff members.
