Video Game Heroes Return in Fall Guys' Guestravaganza Event

2B! Goose! Bomberman!

Mediatonic is rotating some classic video game-inspired skins in and out of Fall Guys’ virtual store this week, as it roars in the New Year with the likes of 2B from NieR Automata and Bomberman. Starting now until 3rd January, you’ll be able to trade in your hard-earned Crowns for a different character each day, so we hope you’ve been hoarding like a real Royal Family member.

It’s always fun to see Fall Guys’ distinctly jelly bean-shaped take on classic characters, and it’s released some cracking skins over the past year. We assume the collaborations will continue into 2022 and beyond – after all, the developer is part of the Epic Games empire these days, and we all know how the Fortnite maker loves a crossover, don’t we?

Do many people still play this?

I enjoyed it for novelty value for a few weeks when it went on plus but got bored after that and it ended up being uninstalled.

@Jeevz it started yesterday with Cuphead and the top half of the boar costume. Today is 2B and the bottom half of the boar costume. I think they’re adding a new one every day for the next few days.

@redcorpuscle yeah, I never seem to have a problem finding a match. They’ve gradually revamped the Fame pass and added daily challenges to earn Fame (XP) and level up your character. It’s on its sixth season now so there are a good mix of levels to play and they have random events like Squads, Duos, Finals only, Race levels only etc. Or you can just play the main show. I wasn’t crazy about it in season 1 but I’ve completed the Fame pass for the last 3 seasons.

It's a shame doom skins didn't make it. I bought the cyberdemon instead and now I want the doomguy.

@Jeevz It was Cup Head. I started playing this game properly as the Jack stuff came in, but never spent anything I earned during my short sessions over time luckily lol

I've always been intrigued by this but never played due to it being a party game.

@KidBoruto It's not a party game. I play mostly solo. I get in a squad with buds here and there but it isn't essential to your enjoyment of the game. Just play it, learn the maps and have fun. It's a great game that they keep adding to.
