This one probably flew under your radar, right? It certainly flew under ours: Timothy’s Night is a bizarre PlayStation 5 exclusive platformer featuring aliens and a noir setting. You’ll be arming yourself with Tommy guns and driving classic cars as you face off against glowing green extraterrestrials in scenery shrouded in film grain and atmospheric shadows.
Frankly, it looks like a bizarre mismatch of ideas, and the framerate dips heavily in this short launch trailer. However, there’s the promise of DualSense support, and the price is pretty low all things considered. But is this something you’re willing to take a chance on? We’ll try to bring you a review as soon as we can.

Is it maybe an asset flip? It definitely looks like one. That framerate in a trailer of all things is woeful as well. Surely they knew better?
Just saw the trailer for this game yesterday, immediately piqued my interest and bought the game this morning, might take a break from Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut to give this game a fair go.
ALSO for those who are fans of Ni No Kuni, might want to check out Baldo: The Guardian Owls, which also released today as well.
Looks interesting, but also like it could have been done on PS4, but they didn’t have the time or budget or talent to get it to run well, so they are making it exclusive to the machine that can brute force it.
Wouldn’t mind if it was a PS+ game though.
@nessisonett Don’t know about an asset flip, but it does give off a Day of the Tentacle mixed with Lego games aesthetic.
@JustPlainLoco ah cool I just saw Baldo as a Apple Arcade Release. Did not know that this is on PlayStation as well. Looks beautiful.
Was this made in Dreams?
I like the look of it, but I'll be waiting for reviews before splashing the cash.
Didn't we already have this on PSPLUS as a bonus for PS4? I have this game and I sure as hell didn't buy it lol
I don't know why but it doesn't look quite right, like it's a mix of assets from different sources.
They put some garbage out now.
@AFCC You have the first game in the series, Timothy vs the Aliens. This is the sequel. The first one was given as a PS+ game, but only to a couple countries like Spain or Portugal or something.
Better than Halo, fact.
@Milktastrophe Aaaah that makes sense. I played for 2 minutes and gave up, it was kinda janky
this looks interesting
I'm pretty sure that this is just an extended version of Timothy Vs the aliens, a lot of the trailer looks exactly the same as the PS4 version, also it's not a very good game, it gets boring after a while, and it's very janky.
Sometimes I feel like PlayStation either go for hugely famous cinematic single player games or completely random ones.
@vict0RGM
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.
Wasn't this already released on Switch and PS4 under a different name?
Weird, but I like the style of it.
How in Earth do they release a trailer with the framerate looking this bad?!?!? Way to sell your game guys.
I hate everything about that art style.
@JustPlainLoco let me know how you like Timothy's night as it looks right up my alley! I love the whole mafia era vibes combined with Destroy all humans alien vibes lol definitely looks like it'd make me feel like a kid again. Happy gaming ✌️
