If you subscribe to EA Play on either PlayStation 5 or PS4, you’ll be able to try out Battlefield 2042 with “early access” to the game’s open beta. You’ll also be able to put the first-person shooter through its paces with a 10-hour trial, scheduled to start on 15th October. Beyond that, you can expect monthly rewards and 10 per cent off your pre-order, should you decide to purchase the full game.
EA has been slowly bolstering its subscription of late, expanding the size of its selection of downloadable games – Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered will be added later this month – while also ensuring that the majority of its service-based titles offer free perks and rewards in the form of XP boosters, card packs, and cosmetics.
Are you subscribed to EA Play and will you be taking advantage of its Battlefield 2042 perks? Let us know in the comments section below.

Another subscription yeah that is what i want.
I'll subscribe for one month on the month it comes out. So I'll save 3 bucks and have early access. Big brain
@Flaming_Kaiser tbf its only £20 a year with a solid selection of games.
If you have Xbox/PC its even better value
@Jacko11 Maybe so but i have enough recurring stuff and most of the games i dont even play them.
And now with the news of the new BF im even less interested. ☹️
Giving EA money in 2021? Couldn't be me! Last game I bought off them new was Burnout 3, everything since has been used copies and no DLC.
I'll play DICE's latest sloppy mess when it comes to PS Plus in 2023.
This game looks so good, might just do it in October for the early access perks. Way too stoked after that trailer
Definitely uninterested. Not because it's EA, but because it is released a week later. For me, paying full price later is better than investing unnecessary time in a game that hasn't been reviewed. Especially when considering the unfinished state of many newly released games these days.
