Following its delay back in March, Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires has finally reappeared with a short Japanese overview trailer. The video provides a glimpse into the title's more tactical action, and also gives us a peek at its character creation system.
However, Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires still doesn't have a locked release date. It's still on track for 2021, but beyond that, we'll have to wait and see. It's coming to both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Here's hoping it's better than base DW9.
Depends.
Do all officers have their unique weapons back and is the combat back the weak/strong attack design?
Until i know the answer to those, i'm gonna go with no and wait for the next entry.
Well I saw Lu Lingqi in that trailer. I'm sold.
@Nem from the trailer it seems like a no for both of those which is sad. I hope they do change it back to how it use to be though.
@ShogunRok Has PS mentioned the DW movie releasing Thursday on NF? Looks pretty good if you're into wuxia movies. Better than Monster Hunter anyway.
Edit: OK, looks like you mentioned it 5 years ago. Well, here it is. 😉

This feels like a late summer release at best. I don't think Koei wants it to drown between all the heavy-hitter releases coming out during the last quarter of the year.
Fingers crossed. I'm always in for these games.
