You know, the more we see of Scarlet Nexus, the more we like the look of it. During its most recent Japanese livestream, Bandai Namco spotlights a number of short gameplay demonstrations, showing off various combat scenarios as well as some general exploration. The above video is littered with bits and pieces, so it's well worth skimming if you're curious about this upcoming action RPG.
Scarlet Nexus is still on course for its 25th June release date. It's coming to both PlayStation 5 and PS4, with the current-gen version boasting all the usual bells and whistles: faster load times, a smoother frame rate, and more detailed visuals.

I'm not always drawn toward anime-style games, but this game looks amazing to me. I think I'll wait for reviews to come out of this game, but I can see myself getting this one.
Code Vein wasn’t bad even if everything felt a wee bit off, so some improvements and a plot that makes a bit more sense could make for a better game.
I'll wait for Tales of Arise instead...
Summer lineup is looking like:
Nier Replicant Ver. √1.5 -> Nocturne HD -> Scarlet Nexus -> SMTV (hopefully)
@Bliquid Jolyne! and yes about BamCo.
Excited for Scarlet Nexus - I got a little bit of YS style combat, fast paced and seemingly just fun to play all around. (also, catchy song!)
Excited for Tales of Arise as well.
> Ike! Bamco!
@tomasu I think we'll be lucky if SMT V drops before the end of the year.
Still, even before that, we'll be seeing Nocturne HD, Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2, Disgaea 6, NieR Replicant, Tales of Arise, and (hopefully) The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, so it's going to be a very solid year for Japanese games.
@nessisonett. No. code vein was excellent a 8 from me.its a good game.word up son
@playstation1995 It was decent but hit detection was all over the place and the pacing wasn’t great. It could do with some improvements.
Easily one of my most anticipated games
There's just something off-putting about games with anime character designs in them. I mean don't get me wrong, I still liked Code Vein since I'm a souls fan but games with anime artstyle just screams generic to me. Maybe because I'm just looking at this as an "anime" game with "anime" plot in it.
I'm still going to play the game tho. I had the same feeling with Code Vein before and viola, I enjoyed it.
