Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 PS5 PlayStation 5

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is not having the best time of it. Announced in March of 2019, the sequel to the beloved RPG has seen delay after delay, and now it seems the game is in a more precarious position than ever. The last we heard was that the title would be unlikely to release in the first half of this year; now, it's not coming in 2021 at all.

Publisher Paradox Interactive has announced that Bloodlines 2 has been delayed indefinitely. More than that, Hardsuit Labs won't be leading development going forward. The news comes from a statement on the game's website and via Twitter:

Pre-orders for the game have been closed until the publisher is ready to assign a new release date. Paradox assures that the game "is still in development", but it sounds as though the project just wasn't quite coming together. "In order to meet our goals for it, we've come to the conclusion that a change is needed and, as a result, more development time is required".

So, the future of Bloodlines 2 is uncertain with no date and no announced developer attached to the project. Here's hoping the next time we report on this game, the news will be more positive. For now, fans will have to be patient until Paradox has everything in order.
