A new update for No Man's Sky has just been released, and it makes the best version of the game that little bit better.
Patch 3.15 further optimises the PlayStation 5 version of Hello Games' epic space sim. According to the latest patch notes, a "rendering-related crash" on the system has now been fixed, and the loading times, already much better than on PS4, have been improved even further.
Perhaps the most interesting update in this new patch concerns the PSVR version. With this patch installed, playing the virtual reality edition via PS5 will be much better, with "significantly improved" resolution and performance.
The patch is available to download now, and you can read the full patch notes through here. Are you still discovering planets in No Man's Sky on PS5? Craft launch thruster fuel in the comments section below.

I was put off by NMS VR on PS4 due to how blurry it was, is it far more improved on PS5?
Still on the fence with this game!
Such a shame the PS5 version doesn't work in VR. Would love for the PS4 version to get tweaks like Blood and Truth did to take at least some advantages of the PS5.
Then again I wish that for ALL my VR games xD
@Perryg92 I was gonna ask this... so if I want to play NMS in VR on PS5, I've got to d/l the PS4 version and play it via BC? I can't actually play the PS5 version in VR, right?
Considering VR on PS5 must use the PS4 version (or maybe there is something I don’t understand) ... are any of those improvement included when playing on PS4 Pro... there was never a patch to improve compared to PS4 as far as I know.
@AhabSpampurse that's correct you'll have to to have two versions of the game,im not sure whether you can use the same save though.
As I understand though, you need separate save data for the PS5 and PSVR versions right? That’s holding me off from the game.
Too bad I still haven't been able to purchase a PS5 (for retail price) to experience this update.
Oh man, i hope this is as good as i am hoping it is.
I absolutely loved this game but sank far to many hours into it. Got loads of other stuff to play but I can feel it dragging me back in!
Er i will play this game one day Hopefully they could add Dualsense stuff to the PS5 version to
PS5 better get VR, especially when it comes to RE8, this gen is kinda a step back when RE7 had VR, but now RE8 doesn't
@Subsided finished RE7 a few days ago. Such a good game. Way better than I expected. Only realised after I’d finished it that I could play it VR. I’d imagine it’s horrifying.
I adore my PSVR. I just don't like the lack of communication from Sony about what the future holds for the platform. Some of the most amazing video game experiences I've ever had have been in VR. It's an absolute game changer and a real USP over any other console.
@Boucho11 It really is.
@KorsaRaph PS5 games are not compatible with PSVR (coz DS4), so every PSVR games must run in BC. Natively PS5 is not compatible with PSVR, only in BC. PS5 games can't use DS4, and DualSense is not trackable by PSVR camera (missing Lightbar). It is not a technical problem, it is a decision made by Sony.
