Fans of Scott Pilgrim have been wanting the film's video game tie-in to return to digital stores for years, and it's finally happening. Announced earlier this year, Ubisoft is bringing back Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition after licensing issues meant it was unavailable for quite some time. Initially pegged for a holiday 2020 release, we'll have to wait just a little longer to play this 2D beat-'em-up once more.
Via a post on the official Facebook page, it's been revealed that the game will be heading to PlayStation 4 on 14th January 2021.
It's not a particularly lengthy delay, and it's not as though we haven't been waiting for years already. What's another few weeks, eh? The Complete Edition celebrates the game's 10th anniversary, bringing us the original title plus DLC characters Knives Chau and Wallace Wells.
Are you ready to play the Scott Pilgrim game once again? Don't eat too much bread in the comments section below.

Yesss, so looking forward to this. Finally my PS3 can be laid to rest. Although I have Persona 3 FES on it so perhaps not!
Physical or in the store thats what i like too know.
I went through it on PS3, but I'll pick it up again if my son is interested too. He liked the movie and comics. Might be fun for a coop romp.
Needs a physical release so this doesn't happen all over again. Crazy to me they didn't announce one alongside the game.
2 questions. will this be a free upgrade if owned the ps3 version all the dlc? And the other question, will it be available on the ps3 store again?
No news on a physical copy?
Put in a lot of time on this back on the 360. Was such a fun beat em up that didn’t have online play at first. Picking this up on January 14th.
We need a rerelease of the Simpsons arcade game next.
My 360 is STILL plugged into my tv because of Simpson’s, turtles, turtles in time, Scott pilgrim, MvC2, and X-Men. Man I wish those would come back out again on a console
Still have this via ps plus on ps3! Not to say I'm not keen for it,but I'm a tad wary of what sort of pricing Ubisoft might go for & whether or not how long they'll keep the licence for it to be available this time around. Given the announcement was what early September(?),this has been a rather quick turn around. Whilst we don't need a remake from the ground up given its visuals/chip tunes,I do hope this hasn't been offloaded for a quick & dirty port job say like eg:Activision when they ported the Transformers ps3 games by High Moon (originally),& sold them at top price until they were delisted.
One less reason to keep my PS3! I still have a decent sized backlog so won't be selling off my PS3 anytime soon.
