Just like FIFA 21, the PlayStation 5 upgrade for Madden NFL 21 is also available now. The next-gen version weighs in at 50.46GB, so it’s smaller than its PlayStation 4 counterpart, which bloated to around 70GB with patches installed. Obviously this next-gen version brings with it some major tweaks, like the integration of Next Gen Stats player data and presentation reels.
We’ve been watching a few YouTube streams earlier today and the visual leap doesn’t look as big as FIFA 21, but we’re eager to get our hands on the game and feel the differences. There are some new play calling mechanics which let you focus on getting the ball to your best receivers, but EA Sports has promised more realistic movement, and we’ll need to try that first-hand.

I'm watching the same stream and it looks trash.
@Gaming365247 Lmao damn I was happy for a minute
Literally the same exact game.
I downloaded it and played for about 20 minutes. Visuals are the same if not slightly better. FPS is better but the graphical performance is meh. The game plays like crap still which was to be expected. FIFA was a much better effort from EA.
I have no idea why but it’s asking me to put a disc in before I can upgrade and I purchased a digital edition. I’ve reached out to PS support for help.
Lmao hey that’s meeee😎
@Nashalot hi mine is the same did you manage to get it sorted ?
@Marsh12 not yet.
I purchased it in the recent sale having downloaded and played the 10 hour EA trial. I wonder if that’s got something to do with it.
@Nashalot I preordered mine before it even came out and it doesn’t do it for me either, been on web chat to EA today and it’s an issue they no about apparently and will be fixed it’s just when
@Marsh12
Mate I’ve just gone back on and it’s worked. Been able to download it now! Somebody must have flicked a switch somewhere in the back room. Give it a go, hope it’s working for you too!!
Same here buddy 👌🏻
