If you haven't already done so, it's finally time for you to check out the best Star Wars title of the PlayStation 4 generation. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order joins EA Play on Tuesday 10th November 2020, meaning you gain access to the entire game for play on PS4.
At the time of review, we called the game one of the best Star Wars games ever. "Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is one of the very best games of 2019. Its engaging gameplay loops may have been lifted from other titles, but it's during combat where the game really shines with enjoyable lightsaber duels and numerous abilities that keep things fresh. Backed by a narrative that will bring delight to the Star Wars faithful, its wonderful main plot and referential nature makes the title an essential playthrough for anyone in tune with the force."

If you haven't, play it. Its story was unexpectedly gripping for a Star Wars video game, especially one in the EA era given how disappointingly shallow Battlefront II's campaign was. I'd love to see this be turned into a new series of Star Wars games that focus on a new Padawan in a different time period across Star Wars history personally. Its gameplay was also extremely satisfying to learn and hard to master. It's not as Souls-y as I expected from the gameplay trailers; had a lot more in common with Sekiro, and the exploration was very Metroidvania-y with sprinkles of cinematic sequences that wouldn't be too out of place in Uncharted.
I've been wanting to get this game for a while. Was waiting for a sale.
I’m really excited for a next gen patch for this game. It’s fantastic but suffers from some rather annoying technical issues.
@nessisonett It's super stuttery still. It suffers from a lot of frame pacing and skipping issues, even on PC at 60fps. Really hoping a next gen patch is in the works that remedies this stuff.
Was waiting to play on next gen as I heard there were plenty of performance dips, now it's on EA Play and Game Pass. Winning!
Great addition, once things slow down I'll sub for a month to play through it. Wonder if it'll ever be added to PS Now like game Pass..
Finished it a couple of months ago. Was OK nothing special. PS5 will sort out those load times.and playstation sent me an email congratulating me for finishing it
@TheFrenchiestFry Yeah, it was the pop-in, hard crashes and frame pacing that brought it down from about a 9 for me. I really loved a lot of what it did and the platinum was super fun so other than it being too easy personally and the technical issues it was brilliant. By too easy I’m not boasting, just that the hardest difficulty wasn’t quite difficult enough. I would have appreciated an optional super difficult mode.
@nessisonett Yeah I played on Jedi Master as well. The only boss that actually gave me a hard time was the final encounter with the Second Sister, but all the other boss fights were actually not that tough and only took me maybe 1 or 2 tries at most.
Haha I’m literally been waiting for this to go into EA PLAY. Otherwise I would have got it in sale weeks ago
The problem with the story is being set in an earlier timeframe is I know it ultimately ends junk. Makes it hard to invest anymore.
@nessisonett Yep. I really enjoyed it, but it was let down technically. Kashyyyk was awful on my PS4 Slim. I'm hoping that just playing the PS4 version on a PS5 will sort out a few of the issues.
@Bentleyma- It was actually Zeffo I had the most problems with on my Pro, which kinda set the tone for the rest of my playthrough. I still loved it but it would totally benefit from a PS5 patch.
Already have this on pc (bought it new EGS at $20), but I definitely want to try this on ps5 if the game run 60 fps like my pc.
I actually just finished replaying Dark souls 3 prepping for Demon Souls and was looking at buying this as a Souls light game. Glad I waited.
Sweeeeet. I was looking for this game and I did not extend my EA Play membership because I have waited to be added to the vault. Now I am gonna get EA Play 1 year membership. Cool!
