At least at launch, it very much looks like third-party developers will be embracing the unique features of the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller. Adaptive triggers and haptic feedback genuinely sound like big game-changers and those of you in the US will experience them for yourself tomorrow. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is one such title you can do that with (from Friday), which it has been revealed will change the way haptic feedback feels and operates in accordance with every gun in the game.
Speaking to GameSpot, lead game designer Tony Flame explained how cool he thinks the DualSense pad is. "It's got new haptic feedback so when you're pulling the trigger, it's shaking, every time a gun fires there is a little motor in there that's firing every time. There is sensitivity on the trigger that represents the trigger pressure on a real weapon. All of that has been tuned in the game for each individual weapon. So it's quite a lot to take in, but it's pretty awesome, and it gives the guns a feeling like they've never had before."
The thought of genuinely feeling the difference between shooting an assault rifle when compared to an LMG is really exciting, and that only gets better the more weapon types you throw into the mix. The rapid-fire of an SMG probably won't carry as much weight, but shooting an RPG should almost take your hand off. Cool stuff, Treyarch.

Great for single player immersion, but I imaging most “competitive” players, or those who fancy themselves such, will turn it off.
@thefourfoldroot yeah I can see this being an annoyance to feel in competitive play as the haptic feedback can probably mess you up while aiming at a running enemy and shooting (referring to the stronger impact guns with the stronger haptic feedbacks.)
This is why I am buying this. Cannot wait.
Sounds like you have to swap those gears with a metal drive if they are going to pulse the trigger like that
