The latest patch for Fall Guys is ready to download right now on PlayStation 4.

The game update takes the popular multiplayer platformer to version 1.09. It's just over 3GB in size, so it's a relatively substantial update to the indie hit. So, what does this new patch do? It prepares the game for Season 2, of course, which is live right now.

While we don't have official patch notes just yet, there are plenty of major changes. If you're playing with friends, you'll all now be present in the falling screen when queueing up for a game. The name banners are also in, and the item shop has been updated with brand new cosmetic bits and pieces to get.

One major update is that you can now choose from two playlists: one includes all game types as normal, while the other, called Gauntlet Showdown, excludes team games. This is only available for a week, so enjoy it while you can.

Of course, the new, medieval themed rounds are now in rotation, including Knight Fever, Wall Guys, and Hoopsie Legends. Some of the older rounds have had a bit of a visual upgrade, too. And with Season 2 comes a whole new string of rewards as you level up. There are 40 levels as with Season 1, giving you plenty of cosmetic items and crowns for earning Fame.

We'll update this article as soon as we learn more. Are you excited for Fall Guys Season 2? Tell us in the comments section below.
