"Final Fantasy VII Remake receives its very first discount on PS4, down to £39.59/$39.59"
Conversion rate checks out. 😕
@Powerpellet PES 2020 is the best football game ever. Far, far better than FIFA 19 or 20 and own both of them. The gameplay is second to none. It's a steal at that price
I got FFX/X2 Remastered and I'm planning to nab Judgment and Ni No Kuni 2. These will be my very first jrpgs. Hope they catch on because since The Last of Us 2 I haven't enjoyed anything I played.
@Powerpellet i hadn't played PES since PS2 having generally gone with Fifa. But Konami nailed it with PES2020 (the menu's are still clunky, the commentary still pales compared to Fifa imo, and i refuse to call it eFootball). But where the game matters - on the pitch - Its genuinely great. Enjoy it 🙂
Some good deals here!
@Rob_230
Cool I appreciate that.
Even Vita got a Terraria discount! If courtesy of cross-buy again. 😅
Bought Final Fantasy 7 physically from Game today for £39.99. Will be able to trade in when I'm finished, so I got a better deal there.
And I was trying to not spend money. But ghostbusters remastered.....
FF7 is currently at £33 on Amazon.
Might go ahead and pick up Ghostbusters before they delist that. Because I know that's coming.
This is awesome!
@gollumb82 Dude, I feel it. I’m in the exact same boat.
@Yellow64
Ironically, a boat is also symbolic of The Last of Us 2 Welcome aboard, then. This game made me realize just how poignant an experience a video game can be. I hope jrpgs with their focus on story turn out to be just what I need.
@gollumb82 XD I didn’t even think of that. I’m gonna pick up Final Fantasy VII Remake and hope that the visual fidelity and story telling will draw me in. I feel like TLOU2 spoiled me compared to other games.
@gollumb82
Final Fantasy 10 was my first FF game and till this day its my favourite
I hope you love it just as much as i do. It changed my life. I love the soundtrack and to this day i still relax to "To Zanarkand"
This article says that the previous games in the sale are only there until midnight but that's not true. They are there until 20th just like the ones added.
@Netret0120
That sounds like exactly what I need Thanks! If my budget can take it I'll get FF7R, as well. Played the demo and loved it. Anyway, if I like FFX I guess I'll get FFXII and XV next. Can you comment on the other parts? Which ones are worth getting? You seem to be an expert on the subject I see.
@gollumb82
I have played nearly every FF game and am a huge fan of the series (check avatar:p)
The golden age of final fantasy games was definitely the PS1 era (FF7-9)
FF12 is severely underrated if you enjoyed the older FF titles like 5 and 6.
FF15 is the literal modern day FF game that brings in newcomers but leaves just enough for veterans like me to appreciate the old and the new.
If i were you i would go in order of:
FFX/X2 Remaster
FF7 Remake or the OG FF7 (PS1)
FF15
FF12
By then you should have a great grasp on which style of FF you enjoy.
If you enjoyed 10 and 7, you should enjoy 15 alot.
If you enjoy 12 alot, you should enjoy the older titles (5-6) alot
Hope this helps
@Netret0120
Thanks for the useful tips and insight! I've never played FF and I'm excited to try. Problem is whenever I googled which FF to play first people had so many conflicting opinions I just gave up. You put it perfectly so I'll get FF7R, FF15 and FF12. I don't know about FF8 and 9 as they seem to look really dated (even the remastered versions). Once again, many thanks for your help!
All of the first wave of games that I had in my cart are still available until 19th. Article made me go and check!
Only a couple of maybes in the new additions,The Aladdin/Lion King double pack is tempting for a nostalgia bite,& ditto Blasphemous. Discount on Two-Point isn't too bad but still $35AU so might wait a while yet.
Sadly nothing again on my indie wishlist...like most of the PSN sales this year largely the same old AAA stuff/studios with only the odd addition of a couple of smaller studios like some of Team 17's stuff.
Timespinner,Blazing Chrome,Afterparty,River City Girls,Xeno Crisis,Battle Princess Madelyn,Castle Crashers remastered & Fight N Rage haven't seen a single sale since launch in 2019,(& Aug 2018 for Timespinner).
Even other games like Cursed Castilla/Super Hydorah haven't had a sale since Aug/Sept.2018,The Shantae Games (Aug 2017 Pirates Curse,Aug 2018 Half Genie Hero),Mummy Demastered 2018. WayForward mentioned on Twitter about it being a "bit more complicated than other platforms" for sales...which doesn't seem to be the only one @LiamCroft
