Incredibly dumb but incredibly fun battle royale title Fall Guys has been been a huge hit. The game released earlier this week -- at no additional cost to PlayStation Plus subscribers -- and it's already taken the internet by storm. Its popularity did result in some initial server trouble -- our very own Sammy Barker got booted from a match just seconds before he could win it -- but things seem to be smoothing out at the time of writing.
Anyway, Fall Guys registered a whopping 1.5 million players in just 24 hours, which is impressive. Developer Mediatonic is also hard at work on the title's first update, and although it doesn't have a release window just yet, the team says it's taking all feedback and ideas from the community into account.

Really enjoyed the hour or so I played today. Almost won on my first attempt too, if I'd been one second slower (ironically) to the end I'd have grabbed the crown! So far my only gripe is that you can't invert the Y axis. Only affected a few gametypes but it's really basic stuff to include. So hopefully the patch adds it!
I'm loving this. Yesterday I won a couple but only today is it showing up on my crowns... But it's understandable. Its very addictive. Losing in team games can be a tad annoying but I suppose it allows others less able to sometimes progress so it's now all bad.
My years of Mario are perfect for the Hex A Gone game. Mario Galaxy trained me well for that one.
Fortunately this is one of those games that you can enjoy even when you're not winning, because God knows I'll never manage that. Getting through 2-3 rounds each time before jumping straight into another game is still a complete blast.
Good plus game that is accessible but not sure how much replayability it has
I'm really happy to see someone do something with the Battle Royale format without having to kill people.
This is something I can sit down and play with my grandkids.
Let's see if someone else takes this as inspiration to create new types of games.
It's a very addictive and enjoyable game! Only issue with me is trying to kick my kids off it so I can have a game! Haha! I hope they put split screen in, so we can all play together. Although that may be impossible with a huge online game like this?
I think this will be a game I keep coming back to, to play a couple rounds here and there, but I don't see myself playing this game non-stop. But tbh I'm not like that with any MP game.
Had a good few games yesterday early evening, but servers were shut down for maintenance when I went back for more. Really fun game. Hopefully manage a win soon, been close a few times now.
Couldn't play it at all yesterday just server problems so maybe its working today i can try it out later
It’s really fun, but they need to continue adding and developing more stages. You replay the same stages pretty frequently.
@BaronSqwelch Yeah, no inversion doesn't please this old humperdoo. I really hope they add that in the patch.
I managed to have a few games last night, (and even win one) before it went to pot. It’s so fun I really like it and glad to see it doing so well. I think it’s popularity really has taken the devs by surprise, I don’t blame them for being unprepared for these huge numbers.
Literally laugh out loud in places for me. I've only played in short bursts... Not sure if it would work for longer sessions or about lasting appeal but looking forward to some party sessions with friends.
I was first on a race, but got disconnected from the server. I've yet to make it past round 3. Silly, nonsensical fun. Nothing like Rocket League, which requires some skill.
Genius approach for the devs.
They get a much bigger playerbase due to giving it out with PS Plus, Development costs are covered and if the popularity continues, they have a greenlight on season passes and additional content and if a sequel comes out, name recognition is there.
Brilliant.
Played a couple of hours with a mate yesterday and laughed my backside off the whole time. Really good fun. Imagine if they'd got a minions license for this. Could have been huge!
